Junior Anaesthetists of Wales, Society of Anaesthetists of Wales and Paediatric Anaesthetic Group Wales join forces!
I hope you have heard about this years Welsh Mega Meeting!
Just in case you have missed the e-mails there will be a joint meeting the Society Anaesthetists of Wales and the Junior Anaesthetists of Wales and Paediatric Anaesthetic Group Wales conference on 12 &13th October 2017 at the Village Hotel, Coryton, Cardiff.
Thursday 12th October will have talks of general interest (guest speakers include Andy Klein with ‘Post op mortality- Who killed my patient?, Dr Jen Warren- a trainee who has competed in the Invictus Games, Lisa Kelly 'Leadership and management - This time it's personal'. Followed by some local speakers discussing the recently published fatigue study, setting up trauma training in Namibia, Dr Ami Jones will talk us through a trauma update for closer to home followed by a quick history lesson from the Mushin Museum and finding out what trainees actually get up to in their OOPE/OOPTs)
Friday 13th October will focus on paediatric topics including; managing the anxious child, heart murmurs,
anaesthesia in cardiac disease, consent issues, pain management, in born errors of metabolism and a talk from the WATch retrieval service.
Tickets are available for Thursday, Friday or both. There will also be an evening social in the Exchange Hotel in Cardiff Bay on Thursday 12th October, with wine, 3 course meal and live entertainment from Jumpin Jimmy and the Nice Guys and a charity raffle to raise funds for Mothers of Africa and The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

CPD points will be available for both days, we are awaiting conformation on how many, but with the packed programme we have lined up it is bound to be a few! We expect to obtain around 10 CPD points for the conference.
